Goodno, Davenport triumph at Sweet Springs; Porter doubles up
By Chris Hale (Sweet Springs, MO) -- With threatening weather all around, the Sweet Springs drivers and officials picked up the tempo and was was able to complete the entire race program without delay. A big thank you to everyone involved.

The most exciting race of the evening was in the Restrictor class. Tyler Devenport, Garrett Benson and Dane Palmer had a 3 car battle for the lead most of the race with all 3 taking the top spot at some point.
It came down to Benson and Devenport. Devenport made a daring pass coming out of turn 2 leaving just enough room for Benson by the wall. They raced side-by-side down the back stretch with Devenport taking the lead and the win. Benson came home a close second with Dane Palmer right on their tail tanks for third.
Riley Goodno took another Winged Outlaw win. Tyler Rennison and Quinn Jones rounded out the podium.
Chase Porter took the Winged A class with Xavier Doney giving him more of a challenge then he wanted. Riley Goodno was third.
Peyton White took home his second win in a row in the Junior class with Talin Turner and Natalie Doney close behind.
Chase Porter, Dwayne Benson and Nathan Brookshier traded sliders in the Non Winged class until multiple yellows, with just a few laps to go, broke their rhythm. Porter took the win with Benson second and Brookshier third.
Eric Perkins got by Bill Killion for the win in the Sportsman class. Justin Dick came in third.
Next Saturday we will be racing all of our classes except for the Winged Outlaw class. Most of them will be at the High Banks Hustle. But don’t worry Outlaw driver Quinn Jones is doing his best to bring in some Outlaw Non Winged drivers and cars to fill the gap. Thanks and good luck Quinn.
