Keith Kunz Challenge: Round One Readies at Sweet Springs Motorsports Complex

Belleville, IL. (7/10/23) Mounting in anticipation while expanding to multiple events by popular demand, Keith Kunz Motorsports, in conjunction with POWRi, are readying for the first yearly installment of the KKM Challenge on September 6-9 at Sweet Springs Motorsports Complex.

Classes scheduled to compete include the headlining $10,000 to-win split-field POWRi Outlaw Micro League presented by Engler Machine and Tool as well as the support classes POWRi A-Class Wing and POWRi Junior Sprints for a full-filled weekend of edge-of-the-seat entertainment; support classes may be split depending on entry-count.

When: September 6-9 | Pits Open: 1:00 PM Daily | Hot Laps: 6:00 PM CST Daily.
• Wednesday, September 6th – Practice All Classes
• Thursday, September 7th – Split-Field Preliminary Night 1
• Friday, September 8th – Split-Field Preliminary Night 2
• Saturday, September 9th – Feature Night

Winners of each $10K to win finale events at the Sweet Springs’ KKM Challenge Race and the TMS Micro Mania will each receive automatic entry into Saturday’s Dash in the KKM Giveback Classic at Port City Raceway on October 21st. The KKM Giveback Classic winner at Port City Raceway will get the decision of the $15,000 lump sum prize or a ride in a Keith Kunz Motorsports entry at the Chili Bowl along with $7,500 cash from KKM and FloRacing.

Driver Registration is available online at https://www.myracepass.com/series/1572/registrations/7900 with an entry fee of $150 before August 21st; entries received after August 21st will be $200 for the POWRi Outlaw Non-Wings. A-Class Wing divisions will be $125 with Jr Sprints $100, each divisional entry deadline will be August 21st with a $50 late fee for entries processed after the deadline.

Pit-parking spots for the KKM Giveback at Sweet Springs Motorsports Complex will be rented for the event with reserved parking for $100. Sweet Springs Motorsports Reserved Pit-Parking Map is available online at https://www.myracepass.com/series/1572/registrations/7900. Once parking registration is paid POWRi will contact entrants with confirmation of the pit-stall number.
