Benson, Hulsey and Gropp Reach Driven Midwest NOW600 Series Winner’s Circle for the First Time
Inside Line Promotions – SWEET SPRINGS, Mo. (Aug. 6, 2016) – Quinton Benson, Garrett Hulsey and Trey Gropp each scored their first career Driven Midwest NOW600 National Micro Series presented by MyRacePass feature victory on Saturday at Sweet Springs Motorsports Complex.
A total of 69 entries between the three classes led to great racing on the final night of the series introduction to Missouri during a weekend doubleheader.
Benson maneuvered from fourth to win the 25-lap Stock Non-Wing main event. Aryton Gennetten held off Chris Koch for the runner-up result with Friday’s winner, Dylan Kadous, placing fourth and Brian Lunsford rounding out the top five.
Chase Porter, Gunner Ramey and Gennetten each won a heat race with Benson claiming the dash.
Hulsey charged from sixth to garner the Winged ‘A’ Class triumph. Jack Wagner placed second, Kadous third, 10th starting Dustin March fourth and Quinn Jones fifth.
Kenton Brewer, Hulsey and Riley Goodno were the heat race winners and Nathan Benson won the dash.
Gropp took advantage of the pole position during the Restricted ‘A’ Class feature. Daison Pursley picked up a second-place finish for the second straight night with Samuel Wagner, Aubrey Smith and Keagen Brewer rounding out the top five, respectively.
Kale Drake and Noah Gass both won heat races and Gropp scored the dash triumph.
The Driven Midwest NOW600 National Micro Series presented by MyRacePass resumes action next Friday at Tri-State Speedway in Amarillo, Texas, and Saturday at Route 66 Motor Speedway in Amarillo, Texas.
