Galusha mounts winning charge at Sweet Springs

Bt Chris Hale (Sweet Springs, MO) -- After two straight weeks of rain our fans and racers were very excited to get back to racing. Fast Freddy Rowland came from the 16th starting spot to take the win in the Junior class with 14th starting Chevy Boyer coming in second and 15th starting Dane Palmer rounding out the podium.

In the Sportsman feature, Rookie Jeff Ballinger got his first win in impressive style. He had veterans Daryl Perkins and Mackenzie Borchers close behind for most of the race. They crossed the line in that order.

Trey Gropp out of Lincoln Nebraska got his first Non Wing feature win. Trey started the race 15th and worked his way up to second to do battle with Chase Porter, who had worked his way to the lead from the 11th starting spot. With just a few laps to go Chase rolled to stop in turn 4. This left Trey in first with Gunner Ramey and Mike Martin in tow. When the green flag waved again Gunner and Trey made contact almost ending both of their nights. Trey won with Gunner and Mike close behind.

In the Winged A class Trey Schleicher started on the pole and never looked back for his first A class win. Chase Porter and Quinn Jones rounded out the podium.

The Restrictor Feature saw Aubry Smith get her second win of this young season with Keagan Brewer and Penn Grant in hot pursuit.

In the Winged Outlaw class 20th starting Frank Galusha would work his way to the front. With Chase Porter and Dylan Kadous hot on his tail. Frank also made the tow from Lincoln Nebraska.

With 103 cars in the pits our track crew deserves a huge round of applause for the final checkered flew at 10:30.

Thanks to all of the fans and drivers for making SSMC such a great place to be.
